Actually, it much sounds like you NOT really using Access but only the database engine. Your problem might be related to running x64 bit version of your web site and applications. If this is the case, then you have to use the x64 bit version of ACE or you MUST continue to use the x32 bit version of the web server. I had the same problem, having upgraded from Access to Access , when opening a file that previously worked fine in Access At first, it wouldn’t compile, and on checking the References, it was totally missing Microsoft DAO 3.
